Owner and founder Ingrid Powers.
I have been passionate about ceramics for over 40 years, training and working in various studios throughout the SF Bay Area. My home studio was where I made pots when not working as a Physical Therapist. My goal was to retire and concentrate on my art. I now work as a full time potter. MY STYLE REFLECTS AN INTEREST IN THE EVERyDAY VESSEL FOR USE IN COOKING AND AS TABLEWARE. I work with both light and dark clay bodies concentrating on the art of making stackable dinnerware that looks natural and feels organic. All my work is handmade on a potter's wheel and fired in a gas kiln to cone 10. each piece is designed to encourage not only a tactile experience, but more importantly, reveal how a vessel can interact with food and enhance the experience of eating.
in 2018 I was fortunate enough to collaborate with chef Hannalee pervan of the one house bakery in Benicia to provide a variety of tableware for their new venture which opened in October 2018.
